Candidate name What actions should the municipality take to reduce carbon emissions and improve community resilience in the face of climate change?

Michael Cullen

Healthy Community Strategy

Kerry Latham

Expand the idling by-law to include all of Sudbury and have the ability to enforce the bylaw.

Gerry Perras

Make sure that all city fleet vehicles follow a no iddling policy and educate the community on the importance of using less fossil fuels.

Stefano Presenza

From my perspective, solar energy seems to be one viable alternative. Across North America, solar panel energy is becoming more functional, and perhaps on a City level, partnerships can be made with the private sector to ensure this technology becomes a viable option; the challenge is to reduce pollution yet create more energy sources. This seems like the way to go.
