“Sudbury has been Mark Signoretti’s home for over 40 years, where he was born and raised, educated at Cambrian College and Laurentian University, and where he and his wife have chosen to raise their son. Mark has 20 years experience in the finance industry, and 8 as a self-employed owner and lead financer of Premier Equipment Finance. Outside of work, he is part of several committees regarding education and conservation of our resources here and across Northern Ontario, and he enjoys playing and coaching hockey for his son with the Copper Cliff Novice Redmen AA Team.”

Sustainable transportation means maintaining and improving forms of transportation for all residents such as bike paths and walk trails in our community.

I am going to do my best to recommend that when new infrastructure is created or existing infrastructure is repaired that it includes bike path and walk trails for the citizens of Greater Sudbury and my Ward.

1. In your view, what are the most important steps the city needs to take to protect water quality?
The most important steps the city needs to take to protect water quality is to make sure that don't allow development close to water ways ie industry and make sure that garbage is not deposited in our lakes and waterways.

I'm currently the Vice Chair of the Nickel District Conservation and the Chair of Friends of Lake Laurentian - On these boards I work hard make sure that we converse/protect our lakes and I feel education is the way to do this. We want to make sure these Lakes are protect for future generations.

1. How will you balance development with protection of the natural environment?
I will make sure that development is regulated so any program must keep in mind the environment issues and make sure they are addressed before the development happens. Also there are place where development can happen in our city that won't disrupt our natural environment.

2. How will you champion opportunities in your ward to fill gaps in parks service and to protect unique natural areas (identified by the Green Space Advisory Panel)?
I will work hard to get involved with Green Space Advisory Panel and champion these projects in my Ward. Ward 1.
