Transportation

Platform Statement:

Transportation Survey Responses:

1. What does sustainable transportation mean to you?
Transportation that can service the community without gaps in funding and emergency expenditures being borne solely by the taxpayer.

* 2. How are you going to support it in our community?
To ensure transportation suits the needs of all citizens, we need to have a formal plan to ensure that all citizens have access to effective transportation that suits their needs best. This means a holistic approach rather than just a simple “cookie cutter” one size fits all approach.

Natural Environment

Platform Statement:

Natural Environment Survey Responses:

1. How will you balance development with protection of the natural environment?
Development is definitely required for economic prosperity and diversity. However, we should not lose sight of the importance of safeguarding our natural habitats and resources in the rush to develop. 2. How will you champion opportunities in your ward to fill gaps in parks service and to protect unique natural areas (identified by the Green Space Advisory Panel)?
