Candidate Name
Elizabeth De Luisa
Terry Kett Encourage more Watershed Studies, not just Ramsey's Fight for more community awareness of the need to protect these fragile bodies
Kevin Lalonde
Bill Leduc
John Lindsay Encourage more proactive engagement by local conservation authority and source water protection committee
Derek Young The Lake Stewardship Committees, Junction Creek Stewardship Committee and ReThink Green are leaders in this area. I will work with these organizations to have a better understanding of the issues and to work together to develop community based solutions. I know there are concerns with the level of salt leaching into Lake Ramsey, however, salt management is the problem, not the development, so we must address the issue of salt. I would also have a greater concern that dangerous goods are being moved by train through our Downtown and along a major source of drinking water. As part of my Young, Responsible, Leadership platform, I plan to accept responsibility for our decision making and will worth with environmental organizations to be solution oriented.
