What will you do ensure that the health of Greater Sudbury’s lakes, rivers and creeks are protected and enhanced?

Candidate namequestion_6
Chris Bentley I will support all initiatives that are put forward with the best interests of conserving our natural water sources. We live in the most naturally beautiful part of the province and we need to do everything we can to preserve that, while at the same time progressing forward.
Jesse Brooks Green storm water systems and architecture can help catch rainwater where it falls reducing the amount of harmful runoff in our lakes and streams. Nets to catch garbage in runoff can also help remove plastics from our lakes.
René Lapierre (incumbent) We must ensure that our drinking water is protected as well as better understand how the watershed systems affect the city as a whole. Promote the update of our planning and construction policies to include a watershed analysis lens, as well as assess the use of salt on our roads during the winter months.
