What will you do ensure that the health of Greater Sudbury’s lakes, rivers and creeks are protected and enhanced?

Candidate Name
Rob Franceschini get involved with different organizations working to protect our water
Kyle McCall First, that proposed new developments are subjected to an environmental impact assessment process, and that their impact to our water ways is clearly understood. Then, take steps to mitigate those impacts. It is also critical that those living in and around bodies of water understand the impact they're use can have on them. The city should take more steps to reduce the use of fertilizers and salts in these areas.
Stefano Presenza
Al Sizer (incumbent) While not an expert in what is totally required, I would support watershed studies, the work of the Junction Creek Stewardship Committee the Nickel District Conservation Authority and other bodies such as the Ramsay Lake Stewardship Committee. As stated previously, planning must consider the impact on what future development will have on our environment. Just as somewhat of an aside, I would like to see the prohibition of ice huts, cars and trucks on Lake Ramsay during the winter ice fishing season.
